Okay, so I just signed up for Twitter. I was signed in. I was uploading a picture. It logged me out and told me to sign in again. Now it won't let me. It says my user name and password are wrong, but they aren't because not only was I already logged in, but it's the same user name and password I use for everything. I try to do the "forgot password" option, and it tells me there's no such user name as "thesubverse." Really? Is that why I got my welcome email as thesubverse? Is that why I started following people? Is that why I just signed up as thesubverse not even five minutes ago?

Is it normally this buggy or is it just tonight.

EDIT: Aaaaaaaaand I go back to twitter.com and suddenly I'm logged in. If this is a regular occurance, it's worse than myspace and fuck that shit man.

Man, what a fucking fantastic weekend. Absolutely no complaints. Party, went to the zoo, finally got the Star Wars OT on DVD, got a new pillow. I'm sad to see it end. But school's done in just over 4 weeks. Next awesome thing on the calendar is May 1st, Stephen Lynch at the Wiltern in LA.

My grandpa was pulled out of the Mediterranean when the HMT Rohna was sunk by a German guided missile, one of the first ever first ever successful strikes of a remote controlled missile. To this day, it's still the greatest loss of troops at sea in US history. Counting the ship's crew and British soldiers, more men died on the Rohna than the USS Arizona at Pearl Harbor. More than a thousand died, and around 600-700 were pulled out of the water (the exact numbers haven't been verified as this event still hasn't been acknowledged by the US government due to its severity).

This is why my grandpa is a fucking badass and my hero. Not surprisingly, he was awarded the Purple Heart.

I get such incredible guilt the few times I ever spend money on myself. It seems like every time I do, something happens and I need almost that exact same amount of money back to pay for something less selfish, less superfluous, and more essential. I just got a new iPod, which I've been wanting for a really long time--and today we get a notice from our web hosting saying a large sum is due on Saturday. If something can't be figured out, the Subverse may be gone (for the second fucking time) this weekend. Also, WrestleMania is in just under two weeks. That's a fuckton of money that we could really really really use right now. I still don't know where the money for the hotel is going to come from.

This, among other reasons, is why I have such stress and fear about money. I try to do it right and pay all my bills on time and in full (luckily I have fantastic credit because of this), but then I rarely ever have any spending money and the end of the month I always feel like a heart attack waiting to happen. I thought 2008 was a tough year, but this one is shaping up to be twice as hard. I'm worried about being able to make it through it.

I lost count of how many antacids I've had to take today.

I've been using the shit out of Livejournal lately. Huh. Not really sure why.

Okay here's that entry I mentioned the other day that I wanted to make.

As you guys know by now, Ericka's gonna be in Europe for six and a half weeks this summer. That'll be the longest we've been apart since I moved to California. Now I know some of you are gonna be like OMG WUT R U GONNA DO R U GONNA BE OK ULL BE SO LONELY. Pssh. I'll be fine.

It's true, I could allow myself to get bored and depressed and end up not doing anything at all--I've been known to be self loathing like that. I decided, however, that that's retarded. See, Ericka's getting one hell of a traveling experience that she's been really needing, and this is the right time for her. While she's gone, I've decided that while I can't do something as awesome as go to Europe, I CAN do things/go places for myself too. There's no reason to sit here with a thumb up my ass when I could be doing something.

Basically what I'm getting at is that I'm gonna go on a trip or two while she's gone too. I was invited by an internet friend I've had for 10 or so years to come visit in Portland. That sounds like a hell of an idea, especially when I realized I have a ton of friends in the Portland area. I've never been there and have always wanted to. The only problem with that is the cost--flights, for some reason, are over 200 bucks. So we'll see. I'm also considering a road trip. I've never been to San Francisco, and think that could be a lot of fun. Going to a park like Yosemite or Sequoia would be awesome too. And Las Vegas is always a hell of a time. This is one of the negatives about being on the west coast--there's a limited number of road trip options since everything's so spread out. But I'm 100% open to suggestions. ESPECIALLY if someone would like to tag along. That would make it even MORE fun.

Would anybody be interested in going to any of these places for a weekend or couple days this summer (or anywhere else, like I said I'm open to suggestions)? Get away from life and do something different and not worry about shit? I'd do the lion share of the driving because, well, I like driving long distances. I'm just looking forward to doing something, and think it'd be nice to share it with someone.

So last Friday I finally got a desk at work. OMG my first cubicle how exciting. The best part is, it's in an office that's virtually empty. Most of the cubes are vacant and the only people nearby are around a corner, so I rarely hear them and I'm left alone all day. It's nice, I work best when I'm left alone and can work at my own pace. Then today, some woman comes into the office, after being gone for around a month apparently. Of course, she's in the cube RIGHT NEXT to me, which I'd been told I could use for storage. It turns out this bitch is also a telemarketer for the company, so she's on the phone almost all day. And she plays this one 80s/90s soft rock comp CD over and over incessantly all day. I swear I heard What's Going On, Sweet Child Of Mine, and Summer of 69 about 15 times each today. Fuck.

I'm going to make a larger, much more interesting post probably sometime in the next couple days. I'm mainly posting this one just to remind myself to do it since I'm too lazy to do it now. My brother is coming to Long Beach on Sunday, which is awesome cuz I haven't seen him in about 3 years, and he and Ericka have never met. Should be a good time.

EDIT: Oh shit I forget to mention, this evening I was coming back from picking up dinner and I parked on the street since Ericka was in our parking spot. Walking up the sidewalk I hear this guy calling at me, but at first I couldn't see him cuz he was in the sun. Then I realized it was a guy I worked with at Teledyne, my shipping job for a year until a month and a half ago. Apparently he has a friend in the complex right next to us. I gave him my number so we plan on hanging out sometime soon, so that's really cool. I didn't get any closure from that place with the way they ended my assignment, and knowing there's a dude who I was really cool with there that's apparently often in the area and wants to hang out is awesome. Plus I know it's silly, but the fact that I'm positive tomorrow he's going to mention that he saw me to a few of my former coworkers makes me feel a little better, and does help with the closure. Assuming he actually does call me and comes to hang out at some point, I'll get even more.

So not only is my trip to WrestleMania 25 in Houston just 5 and a half weeks away, it's been confirmed that next year, WrestleMania 26 will be in Phoenix. How awesome is that? My parents are about a 45 minute drive from the University of Phoenix Stadium, so I won't need to pay for air or lodging. I've been a wrestling fan all my life, and now I'm going to two straight WrestleManias. For those of you that know nothing about wrestling, WrestleMania is to professional wrestling what the Super Bowl is to football. It's pretty incredible.

I was looking through my cell phone call logs and I realized that the last time I received a social phone call from someone other than my parents or Ericka (who I don't really need to talk on the phone to often) was New Year's Eve. Before that, who knows... my call logs were deleted sometime around then. That's fairly depressing. Unfortunately, none of the cheaper T-Mobile plans are really worth the downgrade. I think my contract expires this year... I guess I should start shopping around for other providers to find a more economic plan. I need a new phone anyway--this one's falling apart.

Watchmen on IMAX in two weeks! And I've decided I'm winning the lottery tomorrow.

The IRS sent me a letter saying they couldn't directly deposit my refund because either the account number or routing number was incorrect. They weren't. Fucking assholes. Now MAYBE I'll get my refund in a month, when I filed in early January. Thanks for the fucking help, and you wonder why you're the most loathed government bureaucracy! Hope you enjoyed your interest-free loan! Let me know when I can ever get such a sweet deal.

Also, fun note from Valentine's Day. Anonymous held a protest/demonstration in downtown San Diego, complete with Guy Fawkes masks (those V For Vendetta movie producers are making a killing from tards like this, aren't they?) and edgy internet signs and everything. No one cared, and I laughed. I don't disagree with what they say about Scientology at all--I agree with it. But the fact that they think they're making any sort of difference is the definition of LOL.
